Purchase a measure of new music! Be a part of the creative process!!  Contribute to the Cleveland Chamber Symphony’s Public Commissioning Initiative

Distinguished composer Marta Ptaszynska has been selected to create a new work for the Cleveland Chamber Symphony. Ms. Ptaszynska is on the faculty of the University of Chicago and has received commissions from many major ensembles including the Chicago Symphony. The new composition will celebrate the spirit of Cleveland and the memory of our dear departed composer laureate Dennis Eberhard. Our goal is to commission a work of 800 measures to be premiered by the Cleveland Chamber Symphony in 2008.

The Public Commissioning Initiative is a unique opportunity for everyone to participate in the creative process. Individuals or organizations can purchase one or more musical measures (the traditional bite-sized increments of music) for $25 each. Contributors will receive a printed copy of their measure or measures and be invited to the gala premiere celebration.
